Stephanie Olsen has been in the security, fraud and abuse space for over a decade, leading teams and driving strategy to combat complex and complicated attacks at companies such as Google and Pinterest. She currently leads the Customer Trust team at Netflix, focused on building and maintaining member trust as we defend against harmful acts. 

Why did you get into cybersecurity?

I love the challenge of trying to stay one step ahead of fraudsters. It's important to always be ahead of the latest abuse technique being developed for at-scale attacks and technology to combat these attacks.

What cybersecurity issue is monopolizing most of your time or are you most concerned about?

Account Takeover has been a rising trend in the last 5 years. The amount of data breach information available on the dark web is enormous and people need to be more savvy than ever to remain safe in their online experience.
